Apparently, cartoons have got it all wrong. Police and firetrucks don’t do kitty rescues. Good thing other folks do.
On Tuesday, Collins called police, who told her they’re not in the ladder business. She called the fire department, which told her to set out a can of tuna.
“We don’t do cat rescues,” said Karen Eubanks, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue spokeswoman. Operating a ladder truck costs $400 an hour, too much to save a kitty.
