Oregon assisted suicide law upheld

In a move that is big news in Oregon, the supreme court has allowed Oregon ’s right-to-die law to stand. This is expected to be one of the biggest decisions this year.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday blocked the Bush administration’s attempt to punish doctors who help terminally ill patients die, protecting Oregon’s one-of-a-kind assisted-suicide law.
