Review: Bring your spurs, your extra bra and some patience for the frat boys if you head to the Dixie. The southern-inspired bar includes a mounted animal head, unmentionables handing by its antlers, a ride-em-cowboy mechanical bull, unmentionables spotted nightly, and a downstairs dance floor that showcases, well, people doing unmentionables.
The Dixie Tavern is one of the few places where you can expect to spend some time waiting in line on the weekends. Bouncers are friendly, but no, they won’t let you jump the line ‘just to see if you’re friends are inside’ or because you wore a too-short skirt and are freezing your ass off in the rain.
